When we are aware of these 4 things, we will be much more likely to deal with these idols on a daily basis. 1. Idol of Man -Galatians 1:10 “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings or God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to serve people, I would not be a servant of Christ." 2. Idol of Achievement: -Ecclesiastes 2:22-23 "What do people get for all the toil and anxious striving with which they labor under the sun? All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless." 3. Idol of More -Proverbs 15:16 “Better a life with the fear of the Lord than great treasures with turmoil." 4. Idol of Parenthood: -1 John 2:17 "The world and its desires pass away but whoever does the will of God lives forever."
